In compliance with the request of our neighbor of the Greensborough Patriot, we have to-day published his prospectus for the 'Southern Citizen.' Whether he intends it as a burlesque upon the tribe of editors whose profuse promises and high protestations of principle are followed by perhaps less than ordinary performances, or whether he has been so tired by the game which has been played between him and some of his contemporaries as to conceive himself capable of accomplishing a tithe of what he proposes, we are not prepared to say. We presume the Patriot may be considered as affording a fair specimen of the ability of its editor; from it, therefore, can be had a glimpse of the 'Citizen:' and we leave to the readers of the Patriot to judge how large a field will be afforded in the new publication for amusement, instruction, or useful information. With regard to it we will make but one remark: a revolution surely will have been accomplished, when the editor of the Greensborough Patriot becomes the fountain of literature for the South, and the standard of 'dignity and decency' for the periodical press.
