On Sunday Night three Persons were attacked in the Field between Hoxton and London, by 5 Fellows who had set by them a considerable Time in a Publick House at Hoxton; the Rogues to prevent Suspicion, lighted a couple of Links when they all broke up from the House, but put them out as soon as they got into the Fields, and directly snatch'd off the Hats and Wigs of the three Persons, and were going to proceed farther, but were prevented by the Nephew of the Publican from whence they came, who, upon hearing a Cry of Thieves, ran out and seized one of the Rogues, and another of them was secured by the Persons set upon; but the other three got off. Yesterday they were examined before a Justice, and committed to Newgate.
