MASONIC INSTALLATION.
A Lodge of Masons of which George Ulmer, Esq. is Master, was constituted on Saturday the 10th inst. in this town, by the name of the 'American Union Lodge.' The honors of the installation were performed by the Master of Hancock Lodge, constituted for that purpose by the Grand Master of the Commonwealth. The whole was conducted with that dignity and benevolence of the institution; reverence, receiving their several charge with the badges of Brother-hood and architecture, the importance of their trust, the majesty of their deportment, that the officers of Warren who performed the religious service. An Address was pronounced by Brother W[?] which did no less honor to the fraternity, frightful to the foolish and contemptible to the learned, than its author. Free from that monkish mystery, the institution will o[?] olynima- ha ouy ieeplnidfebl beauty philanthrophy. Never peoge i but the phrenzy of boisterous acclamations, and pleasure there the loathsome excess of indulgence-was picipation h larity. Regularity the unaffected mile of gladness and the innocent nd satisfaction characterized the day the pleasure of the dance—the hall was lighted up. In the evening, the labours of the craft yielded to and a large party of both sexes closed the occasion with py and contentment.
