Judge Duffey Issues Warrant to Sheriff Willis For Burning
Hot Springs, sensation was created yesterday afternoon when it was learned that Judge Duffey had issued a sweeping order to Sheriff Williams to search slot machines now in the city. The proprietors of the machines heard of it immediately after it was issued and a scramble followed to get them out of the way before he located them. In defense of the games, complaints were filed with Judge McDonald. Quite a number of machines were found and the burning took place publicly on the streets in compliance with the order.
