RHODE-ISLAND COAL

We are informed that Mr. Ebenezer French has made an experiment in Dorchester, which has not only been profitable to himself, but may be of great advantage to the publick. Some unsuccessful attempts have been made to burn brick with the Rhode-Island coal; notwithstanding which, Mr. French had the enterprise to repeat the experiment, and succeeded perfectly. He burnt 125,000 brick, valued at 1400 dollars, and the process was so complete as to remove all doubt in his mind of its uniform practicability. The use of that coal for this purpose will, in many places be found a very great saving.
