Cotton Seed-We have a few more left, which it may not be too late to experiment with, though about the 10th of May is the time suggested by the Patent office. This seed is known as the green seed cotton, and is peculiarly adapted to Northern latitudes. Put five seeds in each hill, the hills one foot apart in the row; cover it lightly with a hoe: when four inches high, thin it out to one stalk in a hill, and cultivate it as you would corn. A light alluvial soil, with a Southern exposure, is best adapted to the growth of cotton.
