PHILADELPHIA, April 26.

Their High and Mighty Lords the States General of the United Provinces of the Netherlands, have been pleased to constitute his Excellency Dedem Van Peckendam, &c. as Ambassador to represent them in the United States of America. As this honorable appointment was made on the 26th of February last, his Excellency may be shortly expected in this metropolis.

Mynheer C. Van der Oudermeulen, we hear is appointed Commissary General, and will most probably accompany the Dutch Resident to Our Court.

It is further asserted, that Mynheer Van Brasm is likewise made Consul, and will reside in New-York.
