The Turn.--Last Friday was a day of considerably excitement in Ebensburg; it having been understood for some time that a horse race would take place at Kaylor's, (near the Poor House) on that day, between the Chest Springs' horse and the Ream mare of Johnstown, for a wager of $250. The Ream mare appeared to be the general favorite, and bets of two to one were offered on her by outsiders; but contrary to anticipations the Chest Springs' horse came out the victor in the two last heats.--a considerable amount of money changed hands on the occasion.
