LEXINGTON: Wednesday; September 13, 1797.

By a gentleman just from Natchez we are informed, that the inhabitants of that district are extremely anxious for the running of the boundary line and delivery of the posts to the Americans — that there is the utmost harmony between Mr. Ellicott and the Spanish officers, notwithstanding the attempt made by the inhabitants of that district, to take possession of the garrison as it was not countenanced by Mr. Ellicott — that the Spaniards have moved most of their heavy artillery from Natchez to Point Coupee; but are strengthening the works at Walnut-hills — and that capt. Guion was at the Chickasaw bluffs.
