DOCTOR BANNING.
I am pleased to learn through the Gazette that this truly able and eloquent lecturer, intends favoring the citizens of Alexandria with a series of those lectures which have been the delight of his audiences in Washington, during the last three or four weeks. Indeed, so much were they appreciated, that the Doctor was compelled to repeat them again and again. A like opportunity may scarcely again be afforded us of acquiring a large amount of useful information; and I doubt not that all who can will avail themselves of the opportunity, to hear and judge accordingly.
