SHORTER DAY AT BELLOWS FALLS.

Clerks Given Wednesday Afternoon in June, July, August and September.

BELLOWS FALLS, April 8.—The local merchants have agreed to change the hours of opening and closing the stores from 7.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The action was taken to give the clerks a shorter day and so that the clerks' time could be compared with the hours of the men in the other lines of industry. It was also voted that Wednesday afternoon be given the clerks during the months of June, July, August and September.
