MONDAY MORNING, MAY 3, 1830.
We take farther notice of the Letters of Algernon Sidney, in defence of Civil Liberty, and against the encroachments of Military Despotism; written by an eminent Citizen of Virginia, and first published in the Richmond Enquirer in 1818-19; revised and corrected by the author. To which are added, in an Appendix, the remarks of Mr. Ritchie, as referred to by the author of "Algernon Sidney," in this pamphlet. With an Introduction by the present publisher. We intended, this morning, to have taken a view, by Benjamin Watkins Leigh, but must postpone it until to-morrow.
The pamphlet is for sale at Mr. Martin's Bookstore, and deserves to be read by every body.
