Read the interesting communication of "A Militia Officer," in to-day's paper.—The subject upon which he treats is of the most vital importance to the citizens of this state, and should receive that consideration it so deservedly merits.—We wish that we could be permitted to divulge the name of the author; this much, however, we can truly say, that he is a gentleman that ranks first in the noble profession he has chosen, and is known to be one of the best officers both in theory and practice, in the State.
