NEW-HAVEN, July 1.

On Monday Afternoon last two Apprentices of Mr. Hitchcock of this Town, Sons of Mrs. Holbrook, and all she had, the eldest about 19 Years of Age, and a Negro Man of Col. Wooster's, went out in a two Mast Boat a Fishing in the Harbour of New-Haven, One of the Lads understood the Management of a Boat, but the others knew little of it, they were seen about a Mile from the Shore, when a Thunder Cloud came up and passed over the Boat, which soon after disappeared.--The next Day about 4 or 5 Feet of the Boat's Masts with Sails Set on it were seen above Water; the Boat has since been taken up, and a Hat of one of the Holbrook's was found on the Shore, but the People, who no doubt were drowned, have not yet been found.
