Eligible Young Bachelor "King Of Beauticians"
MEMPHIS, Tenn.-(SNS)-

In a business field that is highly competitive and for many years dominated by members of the fair sex, a youthful, handsome bachelor has achieved a spectacular career within a brief span of three years. He is Ossie L. Moss, proprietor of the Moss Beauty Salon located at 216 Hernando Street.

Mr. Moss, whose popularity in Memphis' business and social circles has won for him the sobriquet, "city's most eligible bachelor," stepped right into the beauty culture trade to become the first man with a complete setup in the local field of cosmetology. Few persons had hardly conceived of a man engaging in this type of work. So when Mr. Moss decided to go into the business, his friends wished him well, but held little hope for success. Yet, within a few months, his business has steadily increased and today the Moss Beauty Salon employs ten persons.

USES OWN SYSTEM

The Moss Beauty Salon is equipped with the most modern equipment. The shoppe's facilities, all from the Helen Curtis firm, noted for manufacturing and distribution of appliances for beauty shoppes throughout the country, are designed for scientific treatment of the hair, face, and body.

"We have endeavored to give our customers the best in operators and equipment," Mr. Moss asserted. "We've also worked out our own method of treating hair." the young proprietor added. "While other systems may be good, the Moss system has proved to be the best system for our customer."

Speaking of his "growing hand," Mr. Moss declared that in his hand is the power to make hair grow. It has been demonstrated on hair of customers who never thought that they'd ever enjoy the glory and beauty of long hair.

"Some folks call it luck," Mr. Moss said, "but I call it a natural gift...a power that I have in the use of the hand for the cultivation of the hair."

The Moss Beauty Salon, in recounting high lights of the past year revealed that a total of 3,781 customers are registered as regular patrons. "We are naturally proud of this record," Mr. Moss said, "but it had to be achieved."

In elaborating upon this point, he added: "Through fair and courteous treatment...satisfactory service and responsible prices, the Moss Beauty Salon has been successful in retaining the majority of its customers."

HOSIERY DEPARTMENT

The Moss Beauty Salon, during the first of the year, expanded its business to include a hosiery shoppe at the same address. His sister, Miss Sadie Moss, is in charge of this department. In connection with his business, the manager has worked out a "Lay-Away" plan whereby customers can make small payments on merchandise. The stock includes Queen Lace, Lace, 2-thread chiffon, mesh and Nylon, and prices range from 25c to $1.35.
