Full Text

[For the Spectator.]

Mr. Editor. -Being in attendance at the last term of the Hustings Court of this town, I was pleased to hear the Attorney for the Commonwealth stated to the court that thereafter he would require applicants for Hotel License to comply with the requirements of the law, defining what constitutes a Hotel:-since then, I have read the law passed by the last Legislature on that subject, and am satisfied, that under the law, a mere Grog-shop cannot, by any device, be raised to the dignity of a Hotel.
