Jan. 19. Last Sunday arrived here Capt. Graesberry, from St. Kitts, by whom we learn, That it was reported there just before he sailed, that one 80, and three 70 Gun Ships of Commodore Hughes's Squadron (supposed) destined to act against the French Islands, were arrived at Barbados: That it was generally believed Commodore Moore was gone to the same Place: That two Days after, the Spy arrived Express at Antigua; a Packet Boat also arrived Express at Martinique; in consequence of which the Streets were all directly unpaved, Trenches thrown up, Houses set about building in the Mountains, the most valuable Effects removed, and the Inhabitants put into a terrible Consternation: And that it was generally believed throughout our Islands, an Expedition against Martinique would prove successful.
