IMPORTANT.
The following important information to merchants and others, was handed us for publication-
Extract of a letter from Havanna dated 8th April.
" The Governor of this Island has received an order from Ferdinand VII. to prohibit the entrance into Havanna of all strange persons and foreign vessels whatever."
The writer of the above letter observes, that necessity will compel them to suffer partial importations of provisions, but says that the difficulty, danger and expense to which persons embarking in the business will be liable, will be a sure preventative against any attempt.
