New-Brunswick. March 23.

Tornado.—A violent tornado was experienced near Washington, in this county, on Tuesday the 5th inst. It prostrated the barn, corn crib, &c. and nearly 1000 panel of fence, of Mr. Stephen Buckelew. The same tornado was equally violent at Amboy. It unroofed the old court-house, at the latter place, occupied at present as an academy, and greatly alarmed the children at the time in school; but no further damage was sustained. A new frame building, partly enclosed, was blown from the foundation; and a barn of Andrew Bell, Esq. blown down. Many panes of glass were broken, and fruit trees, &c. torn up by the roots.
