90 Cherokee Indians, amongst them a number of principal headmen and warriors, had come into Fort Henry; Ooconostota and the Little Carpenter, with upwards of 40 more, had set out on a visit to the Governor and Council at Williamsburg; there was to be a great meeting of their chiefs in the month of July, to hold a conference, amongst them the Dragging Canoe, who has been the chief promoter of the late disturbances.
