THE RED CROSS TREASURY ENRICHED BY NEARLY $500

Through the efforts of W. B. Trowbridge and other Red Cross workers, the Anderson Amusement Co., which is playing here this week, agreed to give all of last night's proceeds to the Red Cross. This fact was well advertised and as a result the carnival grounds were crowded from early evening until after midnight, and the merry-go-round, Ferris wheel and other amusements were liberally patronized.

The returns had not been completely checked up this morning, but Mr. Trowbridge said the total receipts of the evening would be close to $500. The city donated the Amusement Co's. license for the night and the Utah Power & Light Co. donated the lights.

About midnight several young ladies secured a large flag and with one hold of each corner they went among the crowd and about $50 were thrown into the flag.

The Red Cross officials desire to thank the Amusement Co. and all others who generously assisted in making the evening a success socially and financially.
