PILGRIM BAPTIST CHURCH

"Coats Off To the Future" was the subject of Rev. Floyd Massey Jr.'s sermon Sunday morning. Rev. Massey also reported on the events of the National Baptist Convention in Miami, Fla.

Maurice Orman, Enoch Mir ee and Nathaniel Payne are on the sick list.

The Gospet Chorus, under the direction of Mrs. Arlee H. Hollowell and the Senior Choir, directed by A. V. Hall, rendered music. Sydney Williams was at the organ.

Visitors were: Walter Grace and Johnny Gary, house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Moses Knott, from Los Angeles; Helen Busyn and Ruth Stephens. St. Paul: Mrs. Marguerite Gordon, Memphis, Tenn.; Miss Florence Daniels, Detroit, Mich.; Freddie Woodard, St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. George Downey, Los Angeles; Jesse Johnson, Memphis, Tenn.; Eddie Westeroos, Jr. and Joseph Wilson, Ft. Snell.

Condolence was expressed to Dr. Ollie Grantham on the accidental death of his wife. The flowers from Mrs. Grantham's funeral were on the pulpit.

Pilgrim was represented at the State B.Y.F. Planning Retreat at Iduhapi by Sherry Mazingo, William Knott, Elvira Bailey, Owen Price, Leroy Cunningham and Sam Richardson.

Congratulations were expressed to Dr. and Mrs. William McIntosh on the birth of a baby girl, Yvonne Elizabeth.

Pilgrim's Educational Bldg. will be used by the St. Paul Council of Churches for the Week-Day Church School of Maxfield School's 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. Classes will begin Tuesday, with Mrs. Felsted as teacher.

Fall Convocation will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, Minneapolis, October 5 and 6.
