Full Text

Mr. Farnsworth,

IT is suspected, by some of your friends, that you can throw additional light on the subject which has excited such universal attention I mean, "Rutledge's Letters, to the President of the United States." If so, be pleased to satisfy the awakened curiosity of your readers—or, if it is not proper to gratify us in this particular, at this moment; be pleased to procure for publication, examination, &c. &c. a letter written by a certain honorable gentleman, in his best counterfeit manner, to a celebrated character, soon after his return from a foreign Embassy. Perhaps, Mr. Farnsworth, you could prevail on a noted Editor, about 200 miles from Newport, in a course Southerly of West, to forward, you another of the entertaining letters of this honorable scribbler, for the perusal of the public.--I would not impose on your good nature, Mr. Farnsworth, but having offered us to taste of one dish, you must spread before us two or three more, (you need not exhaust all your stores,) so that we may feast.

Yours, &c.
APPETITE.
