Full Text

The Vanites of Burlington complain bitterly because the students of the College voted at the late election We should judge from this that a majority of the students might be Whigs, and aided in maintaining the Whig ascendency in the town. Hints are thrown out that the New Hampshire system of disfranchising the students, will be adopted, should the Locos ever succeed in securing a majority in the legislature. But if the Burlington Collegians are to be proscribed there is no reason why those at Norwich should not fall under a like condemnation-for it is notorious that they elect even their President to the Legislature.
