The SENATE of the UNITED STATES convened in a deliberate assembly the town of Boston met in a clamorous hall. The Senate were more than 20 days, discussing the treaty- the town of Boston discussed it in three hours.
The Senate debated on the articles, signed by Jay and Grenville-the town of Boston harangued on the mutilated abstract of Ben. Franklin Bache. The Senate thought the honor of its members a sufficient bond for their secrecy, the town of Boston passed a vote of thanks to the apostate Mason for violating it--In fine the Senate took care of "their apple cart" and the town of Boston "stuck their foot in't." !!!
We hear, that a very large number of the most respectable citizens of Boston, have signed a truly republican address to the President, to counteract the influence of the famous "cut and dried" town-meeting proceedings.
