HOURLY FAA WORKERS RECEIVE PAY BOOST

Approximately 350 Federal Aviation Agency wage schedule personnel in Alaska have received a pay increase of from 10 to 18 cents per hour, according to Hobart L. Douglass, of the FAA classification and wage branch.

The pay increase, which applies to all FAA hourly workers in the state, will add approximately $147,000 annually to the economy of Alaska, Douglass said. Exact amount of individual increases will depend upon grade and geographical location of personnel.

The boost is effective with the pay period beginning Jan. 22 and will be reflected in pay checks received by employees on Feb. 17.
