We have a certain Account from Deerfield. That on the 20th Instant in the Evening, a Number of Indians, supposed at least to be 100, attacked Morrison's Fort at Colrain, first firing On a Man who went to a Barn after his Horse, (which gave the Alarm) but happily missed him ; when he made his Escape, and gave this Account at Deerfield. We hear that a Company of Men with Snow Shoes set out from Deerfield on the 21st, in order to relieve the Fort, which we are informed was able to hold out several Days, provided the Inhabitants were in Garrison ; which at present is uncertain, or what Fate has befallen 'em. The Place contains about 40 Families.
