It is highly satisfactory to the Alpena Transportation Company to know that the traveling public appreciate the excellent accommodations, good fare, and the efforts of the officers in charge of the boats to make everything as agreeable as possible for their passengers, and as an illustration of the appreciation by travelers of the treatment received on board the steamer Wenona, we publish the following, which we find in the Free Press of July 31 :
WHEREAS, Capt. L. R. Boynton and the officers of the steamer Wenona, are deserving of much praise and credit for the able and efficient manner in which they discharge their duties, and their efforts to make their passengers comfortable during their trips: therefore,
Resolved, That we, the undersigned, passengers on board the Wenona, on her trip from Mackinaw, July 29 and 30, do hereby tender our heartfelt thanks to said Capt. Boynton and officers, for their kindness and gentlemanly courtesy.
