On the 4th instant, commenced the stated meeting of the Trustees of the Transylvania University. During their session, General William Henry, Thomas Wallace esq. and Felix Grundy esq, were elected trustees.

The following gentlemen were appointed for two years:

The Rev. James Moore, President.

The Rev. James Blythe, Professor of Sciences.

The Rev. Andrew Steele, Professor of Languages.

Doctors Frederick Ridgely and Walter Warfield, Professors of Medicine, in addition to Doctor Samuel Brown, heretofore appointed.

The degree of Bachelor of Arts, was conferred on Mr. Josiah S. Johnson, and Mr. Austin Respais.
