According to a Letter from Paris, by the Way of Brussels, dated the 17th of March, the Court of Madrid could not refuse, at the pressing Instances of that of Versailles, the Declaration that has been made on the State of Affairs ; but that notwithstanding this, the wiser sort of People do not count upon any Thing more than those good Offices of the Court of Spain, and her availing herself of the present Conjuncture, to carry some favourite Points of her own in America, for which she has long wanted a proper Opportunity.
