Plans have been completed at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, pastored by Dr. Wm. G. Bivins, for the annual celebration of the Woman's Hour under the direction of its creator, Mrs. Rossie P. Bivins, one of the nation's front-line religious workers. The program will move off at 2 p. m.
The feature address will be delivered by Col. A. T. Walden, prominent Baptist layman. Another outstanding religious worker, Mrs. Geneva Haugabrooks, will give the acceptance address, following the welcome by Mrs. Lucile Campbell. The following talks will be made:
Woman As a Factor in World Activities. Miss O. L. Dixon: Woman's Place In The Home. Mrs. Carrie Jones; Woman's Place In Church Activities, Mrs. Hattie Williams. The main speaker will be presented by Dr. Bivins.
Why We Have The Woman's Hour will be discussed by Mrs. E. V. Banas. Solos will be sung by Mesdames A. M. Owens, Marion Briggs, Mitchell and Miss Floretta Poythress. Choirs 1 and 2 will render music. Mrs. Gladys Hollis will read the scripture and prayer will be given by Mrs. Resa Couch.
