The President of the United States returned yesterday from the Rip Raps—his health and strength much recruited. He was indebted to the politeness of Captain Mitchell, and the owners of the Steamboat Columbia, (which deviated from its route between Baltimore and Washington to afford him the comforts of its spacious decks and cabin, and its expedition) for a very agreeable voyage in going and returning from the Rip Raps. This fine boat made the voyage from the Rip Raps to Washington, a distance of 230 miles in 19 hours—Globe.
