$100,000 prize. The last drawing of the 5th class of the National Lottery took place at Washington on Thursday. No 2090 came up a prize of $100,000. The ticket belongs wholly to Mr. Chastain Clarke, one of the auctioneers of our city. This is the second $100,000 prize which has within two years crossed the Potomac and come to Richmond; both too in the National Lottery!—What is somewhat singular about this fortunate ticket 2090, is, that Mr. C. had a dream in which he saw a list of Nos. written out, and among them this very No. in large characters. In consequence, he applied to the three Lottery Offices in this city for it and finally obtained it from Gillepsie's office in Washington. This is a fact too well attested to admit of dispute. How many thousands others might dream of Nos. without having their visions turned into blissful reality! A fourth also of the next largest in the N. Lottery (viz. $25,000 dols.) belongs to a young gentleman in this city—purchased at Cohen's office From the great numbers which Virginia has caught, it establishes the fact that she has spread nets enough for them. We suspect there is no state in the Union which purchases more tickets.—Query. What is the moral to politicians?
