Pay Your Taxes!
Every Democratic voter should remember that he has but a few days longer in which he can call on the collectors in the city and the various hundreds and pay his tax and secure his vote at the next election. No man's name will be continued on the assessment list unless his poll tax is paid before the expiration of the present month. Nothing will be saved by delaying to pay the tax, as the collectors will then be required to enter suit and collect it by law. The poll tax is very light and should be paid at once. To do so will save expense; to delay may cause trouble and ill feeling to take the place of that kindness and suavity that should exist between citizens, and especially those of the same political faith aiming to advance the public good, and to secure the best government for the whole people of the State. Remember, only a few more days remain in which to call and pay your tax if you have not done so; and that the collector is not required to call on you until he calls with his warrant.
