Been Held As 'Drunk'
A 34-year-old prisoner early Saturday morning died in city jail where he had spent his last few hours on a drunk charge.
Officer Rikard Lane said Harold Wilson, alias Harold Witherspoon, of 320 Leonard St., Apt. 414, was found dead in his cell at 2 a. m.
He was arrested shortly before 9 p. m. Friday.
The body was taken to Grady Hospital for pronouncement. Cause of death had not been disclosed.
Officer Lane found Wilson slumped on the edge of his bunk after other prisoners reported he showed no signs of breathing. Lane said he had seen the prisoner sitting on the edge of the bed at about 1:30 a. m. but that he appeared to be drunk.
