The case of two men of the same name, born the same day of parents who had the same names, presented a difficult problem to the Social Security Board last week, the Associated Press states.
Officials said that after registering more than 36,000,000 names without difficulty they recently received only a few days apart two applications which listed.
The same full name for the applicant.
The same name for the father and the same maiden name for the mother.
The same date of birth.
The only difference lay in the address.
The applications were from two men who reside only a few miles apart.
The board issued different social security numbers to them, but as yet it has nothing. except the addresses, to differentiate between the two in the event that one loses his number.
