15TH BIRTHDAY
Many Events Lined Up
During Day
For Greatest Throng Ever
To Attend.

WESLACO, Dec. 7.—With an entertainment feature scheduled every hour and half hour of the day from 8 in the morning until the dance starts at 9:30 in the evening, everything is in readiness here to entertain one of the largest crowds that has ever attended Weslaco's annual birthday parties.

This year Weslaco celebrates the 15th year of its founding, with a polo game, style show, citrus and vegetable shows as the outstanding events. Parades are also scheduled for the day, with the general event in the morning at 9:30, which always offers attractive floats and unique exhibits.

Morning Events

8:00 a. m.—Exhibit Hall opens and will remain open all day. (Knapp Motor Company Annex)

9:00 a. m.—Orchestra Music—Platform on Texas and 4th Streets.

9:30 a. m.—Parade. Forms on Texas Boulevard—Seventh Streets. (Weslaco High School Band furnishes music).

11:00 a. m.—Band concert—Weslaco High School band. Platform. Reception ceremonies. C. L. Skaggs, president chamber of commerce, presiding.

Welcome address. Mayor C. M. Sherrill.

Response, Rev. Leslie A. Boone.

Address, speaker to be announced.

12:30 noon—Visitors invited to bring lunch and spread on City Hall ground.

Afternoon

1:30 p. m.—Bicycle Races—Texas Blyd., between 4th and 5th Streets. Sponsored by Lions Club.

1st prize, $10.00.

2nd prize, $5.00.

2:30 p. m.—Doll Buggy Parade. Prize—$5. Pet Parade follows doll parade—$5.00. (Texas Blvd.)

3:15 p. m.—Polo Game: Hidalgo vs. San Diego—(North of Gulf Refining Company warehouse).

6:30 p. m.—Other attractions at platform.

7:00 p. m.—Musical program at platform.

7:30 p. m.—Style Show at platform. (Sponsored by Business and Professional Women's Club).

8:30—Boxing—Arena.

9:30 p. m.—Dance—(Knapp Motor Company building show room).

Exhibit Hall Erected.

An elaborate exhibit hall is being erected in Weslaco for the purpose of housing the many exhibits to be on display during the Fifteenth Birthday Party celebration, which is to be held on December 11th, 1934.

All exhibits must be presented in the Exhibit Hall not later than noon Monday December 10th. The judging of the exhibits will be made Monday night on all exhibits of every nature. Some three hundred or four hundred various kinds of vegetables, fruit, and live stock are expected to be on display in the Exhibit Hall. Attractive prizes and premiums are being offered by the various merchants of the city for the winners in the various exhibits.
