Arizona Cowboys
Dash and Daring
Arizona cowboys have earned a reputation from one end of this great country to the other as about the greatest thing of the kind that ever appeared in that line, and they even have a reputation for dash and daring that must be sustained across the water, but according to the Phoenix Gazette it remained for a couple of these gentlemen down on the ranch of Jack Gibson to set a mark that will remain to be shot at for years by the rest of that fraternity.
The Gazette says the feat is no less than the lassoing of two black eagles, which was accomplished last week. One of the great birds died but the other is at present at the Owl drug store and is indeed a big addition to the extensive zoo that Mr. Winter is maintaining there.
The bird is young, and for that reason could not fly so high but that the gentlemen behind the rope was able to ring him. He is what is known as a black eagle, and if he lives in this hot latitude will attain to massive size.
