Mrs. Carrie Chapman Catt wants men cooks replaced by women at army camps. She says: "In England, when the men had full sway as camp cooks, it cost the British government 40 cents a head to feed its soldiers. Now the cooking camps are officered by women and the cost of feeding a soldier has been reduced to 26 cents.
If the women had charge of our cooking camps, we too, could cut down the cost of feeding our soldiers."
