ELECTED A CAPTAIN.
Company F, N. G. D., Selects Sergeant Maidoon to Fill the Office as Successor to Captain Condon.
Company F, N. G. D., last night held an election for captain to succeed Captain William F. Condon, honorably discharged. Sergeant F. Maidoon and Matthew D. Murphy were nominated. Mr. Murphy would have probably been elected but he declined the office on account of its interference with his business Sergeant Maidoon was then unanimously elected
An election for second lieutenant of the company, in which position there is also a vacancy, will be held at a later date Company F is in good condition, having thirty-three active members There are ten or twelve applications also to be acted upon,
