Worshipful Master George S. Baltimore presided, and presented the various speakers. In behalf of the Grand Lodge of Connecticut, William A. Riley presented Mr. King with a gold lapel pin for 50 years' membership.
Resolutions were adopted by the Lodge and after being read by Past Master Harvey, were presented to Mr. King. Fred M. Hills presented a gift from the Lodge, and Truman H. Woodward, worthy patron of the Eastern Star, presented a gift in behalf of Bigelow Chapter.
Mr. King was raised in Orient Lodge, June 15, 1887, and served two years as worshipful master, and in many other capacities from time to time.
Mr. Harvey read Mr. King's Masonic record, while James Johnston read his civic record, covering a period of 50 years.
Motion pictures were shown and songs were sung by a quartet composed of G. E. Westbrook, Ralph B. Wright, James Hadley and James Martin.
Among the guests was District Deputy Louis S. Thomas of the Sixth Masonic district.
