NORWICH, March 25.

Since our last, we have experienced a S. E. gale, accompanied with rain which fell in such torrents as to raise the rivers to an uncommon height. Several parts of the place were so completely inundated as to prevent passing except in boats. No material damage has been sustained here, tho' we understand two bridges were destroyed in Windham.

We hear from Hartford, that the water rose to such an amazing height as to inundate several streets, extending almost to the State-house.
