SENATE OF VIRGINIA
Tuesday, December 17,
A motion was made that the House come to the following resolutions in
Resolved, that the members of this House, entertain a high sense of the distinguished abilities of Creed Taylor, Esquire, lately their Speaker, and feel particularly grateful for his useful services as a member and for the able, judicious and impartial manner in which he performed the duties as Speaker.
Resolved therefore, that the thanks of the Senate be presented to him as a small testimony of its respects for his character, together with its best wishes for his future happiness and prosperity both in private and public life.
And the said resolutions being delivered in and twice read, were, on the question thereupon being put agreed to by the House.
Ordered, That Messrs. Munford, Coles and Robb, do communicate the same to the said Creed Taylor

Mr. Munford reported, from the committee appointed to communicate to Creed Taylor, Esquire, the resolutions of this House, respecting his conduct and services as a member and speaker charged, that the committee had, according to order, communicated to him the said resolutions, and had received from him the following answer:-
To Wm. Munford, James H. Coles, and Robert G. Robb, Esquires:
Gentlemen,
I receive with sensibility the obliging resolutions of the Senate, and request you to return them my respectful thanks.
