Rev. H. P. James, of New Light Baptist Church, delivered a fine sermon Sunday morning, his theme being, "My Church" text St. Matt. 16:18. He pointed out that the church is not a building made of brick and stone, but is a spiritual temple within the heart. His evening sermon was also very uplifting, the subject being, "The Glory of thy Celestial i6"
The Junior Usher Board, which has been halted stopped for some time, is functioning again. They served last Sunday in connection with setting the stage for staging a contest between Mis Mattio Shaw and Willle Biyih. For the purpose of raising funds for the pew rally, which is now in progress. Both contestants are asking members and friends for co-operation.
De Boddle was one of the distinguished visitors Sunday and made a liberal donation. Rev. Armstrong, of Cleveland, will be at this church Sunday, Feb. 17.
