Full Text
We understand that the reason why the Aurora has become so vapid and spiritless is not that the editor is in bodily or mental fear that his letter to Callender would be published in case he should become au. cy, but that he is engaged in constructing a corollary, which is to prove that the secretary of the treasury has made a vast saving to the United States by selling the bank stock for a hundred and fifty or two hundred thousand dollars less than it would have brought in the market. We have heard some additional facts relative to this business which have not placed the subject in a more favorable light than that in which it before appeared. Unless the Sovereign people are soon favored with some official account of this affair, they shall hear further from us.
