The David T. Howard Junior high elementary school P-TA held its annual Daddies night program Friday evening at 7 o'clock with a large number of parents and teachers present. Rev. M. L. King was the main speaker for the occasion and was introduced to the large and appreciative audience by Mr. H. J. Furlow. One of the instructors on the Social Science department. A fine program was presented under the direction of Misses Lilian Jones, Hart, and Drake from the elementary school and Messrs. Hubert, Reeves and Davis of the junior high department.
Mrs. O. G. Walker, president, who has done much to stimulate interest of the parents in the activities of the school, presented each of the Daddies, who gave special greetings and remarks. Misses B. E. Usher and J. M. Jones, gave short but impressive talks. Mrs. Eicheiberger, chairman of the program committee spoke impressively concerning the work of the P-TA. Benediction was offered by Rev. M. L. King, after which the entire audience was led to the dining room where a very delicious menu was served by Mrs. F. A. Robinson and Mrs. Mayo. Miss L. B. Jones, reporter.
