Because there was a suspicious case among the passengers on board her, the steamship Korea, which arrived from Yokohama today, was, by order of the officials of the marine Service, placed in quarantine off port, until Dr. Hobdy had arrived to determine the nature of the disease.

When the Korea arrived off port shortly after 12 o'clock today, Dr. Sinclair and Dr. James went on board her to examine the passengers. In their examination they found a case of sickness and would not permit the ship to enter the harbor until Dr. Hobdy, chief of the quarantine service here, had been consulted. At 1:30 o'clock this afternoon Dr. Hobdy went out in his launch to examine the patient himself.
