LOCAL NEWS

Worcester Gas Light Company.—The annual meeting of the stockholders of this company was holden at their office, yesterday forenoon. William Cross was chosen clerk of the corporation, and the following gentlemen directors:—George T. Rice, Joseph Sargent, John C. Mason, R. L. Hawes, Edward W. Lincoln, Dwight Foster, and Alexander H. Bullock, being the board of the preceding year. At a subsequent meeting of the directors, Geo. T. Rice was re-elected president, and William Cross, secretary.
