Full Text

Robert Dale Owen has been nominated for Congress by the Loco Focos from the First District of Indiana--formerly represented by Ratliff Boon. The surest way to obtain promotion among the Locos, says the New York Whig, is to set up as an infidel lecturer. Ely Moore and Robert Dale Owen, two of the most distinguished Tammany Sunday orators, are examples from a list of a thousand. The Indiana Journal is of opinion that Owen will do better than Lockhart, but that he cannot defeat the election of the Whig candidate.
