Full Text
Female Medical Education.—The Rt. Rev. Bishop Potter of Pennsylvania, in a letter to Mrs. Sarah J. Hale, speaks as follows on this subject: The importance of securing for women a larger sphere of usefulness, and the especial propriety and desirableness of qualifying them to practice the healing art among children and those of their own sex, will be admitted, I should hope, by all persons. If there are those, however, who think otherwise, I certainly am not one of the number; and I shall rejoice heartily in the success of every effort which is calculated to promote such object.
